Transmit, impart, convey, present, relay, exchange 

All similar but not quite right 

For as I sit face to face with another

One who’s background I may or may not know

As the progression of our discussion leads us to places that alone, I may not go

As a picture is painted through words and expressions

Or information is passed through no words just expressions

I giggle and laugh as fond memories grow

Through pain and fears

Or joy and tears

On this table I lay my heart bare 

In hopes that another 

With whom this moment I share

Will communicate with me 

As they too lay their heart here
