I wish I were not me

A life personified with regret

With dreams expanding to regions that escape the breathe of the ocean

A man drifting in a sea of doubt

With winds strong enough to advance, yet unhoisted sails

A boy seeking to quench his thirst for love

While only knowing what it means to hate

A seed planted with hopes of providing shelter 

But who’s roots shallow in comparision to the weight of the expectations

I wish I were not me 

But I am
